HOPPING INTO SPRING!!!!

Winter has officially come and gone. We are so happy to put the snowy, cold weather behind us and bask in some sunshine! Let's take out our sunglasses and smell the flowers because SPRING HAS SPRUNG! PCC wants you to be ready for all the springtime fun, so we've created lists of all the spring activities and places to visit.

Speed-friending is officially fun!

We are proud to announce that Positive Community Connections received a 2024 grant from Real Transition Partners to host offical PB Academy Speed-friending game nights. We are so excited to share our lives, likes, stories and interests with all our new friends! 

PCC News Update

Volunteer Resource Fair at the Oceanside Library

PCC team members Sharin, Nicole and Cheryle were invited to attend Oceanside Library's Non Profit/Volunteer Resource Fair.  Our team members were given the opportunity to meet members of other organizations and attend various workshops.  Many fair goers stopped by PCC's table to ask questions and learn more about PCC and what we do for the community.  We thank the Oceanside Library for this opportunity and hope to return next year!

LIU Sharks

LIU Sharks Hockey Game

PCC  and PTW (Positive Transitions to Work) friends came together to watch a college ice hockey game. The LIU Sharks played Stonehill Skyhawks from Massachusetts and it was an action packed, hard hitting, fast moving game of ice hockey. Our group cheered passionately for our local team and for some, school team, the Sharks! We had so much fun yelling out loud and clapping after each goal the Sharks scored It was nice to root our team on for an 8-2 victory!!!

Dave and Busters Meetup

Our PCC Members and Friends brought the fun to a whole new level during our Dave & Busters meetup!  Games were played and prizes were won.  There was something for everyone. We came, we gamed and we conqured! It was one of the best ways to spend the afternoon with friends. 

Ping Pong

Ping Pong Tournament at Round One

  PCC members and friends showed up at Round One in the Broadway Mall to take part in a ping pong tournament! It was so much fun to see everyone for the first time in the new year. The tournament featured some nice game play from Daniel, Nicholas, Jonathan, Jen, Hunter, Monica, Anthony, and Matt. Others cheered them on. After the tournament, we went upstairs to play games and win prizes.  It was so much.
