PCC Members Connect with Nature at Holtsville Ecology Center Meetup
PCC members came together for a heartwarming and educational meetup at the Holtsville Ecology Center, where they spent the day surrounded by nature—and a few adorable animal ambassadors.
The group visited many of the furry and feathered residents who now call the refuge home. Each animal has a unique story—many were injured, rescued from illegal pet ownership, or are unable to survive in the wild on their own. Learning about their journeys offered a deeper appreciation for the center’s vital conservation work.
The day was filled with smiles, sunshine, and shared moments with friends. After exploring the center and meeting the animals, members enjoyed a relaxed picnic lunch on the grounds, complete with refreshing slices of watermelon to round out the afternoon.
It was a perfect blend of connection, nature, and community
